Welcome to Sunset Kids. We love children and desire that they learn from infancy that Jesus loves them and that He desires to have a relationship with them that lasts for eternity. We use fun filled, Bible based methods of communicating this message to all who attend Sunset Kids. It is our desire to support you and your family, as you teach your children about God and His love.

God our God, God the one and only!
Love God, your God with your whole heart; love him with all that’s in you, love him with all you’ve got!
Write these commandments that I’ve given you today on your hearts. Get them inside of you and then get them inside your children.
Deuteronomy 6:4-7a THE MESSAGE

God is telling us through Moses that we need to creatively, consistently, continually not only learn these commandments to the core of our being, and live them out in our everyday lives, but repeatedly He tells us to teach them to our children.

George Barna says in his book, Transforming Children into Spiritual Champions, “only 3 percent of the nation’s 13 year olds have a biblical world view, which serves as the foundation for their decision making. This is partially because young people are more likely to base their decisions on their feelings (37%), or upon what other people expect of them (26%), rather than depend on the Bible as their standard for moral choices (8%). But it also is partly attributable to the theological distortions that young people embrace as truth.”

We are here to teach children the truth about God, His love for them, and His desire for them to love Him with everything they have, and to love their neighbor as they love themselves.

THERE IS NO HIGHER CALLING. The soil is soft in their young hearts. They are ready to be molded into citizens of the kingdom of God. We are mind molders in the army of God, molders for God’s kingdom of redemption.

You see our assignment as believers is not just to be saved and go to heaven. Our assignment is to pass on the faith to our children and their children, to make disciples of Jesus Christ.

Praying with you as we all work to accomplish our assignment.

God Bless You,
Beth Werner
