Registration Assistant/Greeter
Gifts: hospitality, encouragement, helps
Responsibilities: greet new students, facilitate the registration process, familiarize new student with programs, assist parents with children, be available for most scheduled Saturday mornings, 8:30 – 11 a.m., especially registration before the quarter begins, attend registration-related trainings (1-2 per year), encourage and pray for students, teachers and leadership.
Reports to: Registration Lead and the Director
Tutor (NEW!)
Gifts: hospitality, mercy, encouragement
Responsibilities: plan and prepare lessons tailored to individual student(s), have a passion for helping adults, be available one day or evening a week (depending upon a mutually agreeable schedule), attend on-going trainings (1-2 each quarter), encourage and pray for students, assistants and leadership.
Reports to: ESL Director
Hospitality Team
Gifts: hospitality, helps, service
Responsibilities: Welcome students, set up the break room and hospitality tables, procure and prepare beverages and snacks, clean up after break time, be available for most scheduled Saturday mornings, 9:30 – 11 a.m., encourage and pray for students, teachers and leadership.
Reports to: Registration Lead and Director
Data Entry Person (NEW!)
Gifts: helps, administration, service
Responsibilities: assist with quarterly registration, enter new and returning student information into ministry database, be available one or two days per month, especially at the beginning of a session. Attend one staff meeting per year, encourage and pray for students, assistants and leadership.
Reports to: ESL Director
Computer Lab Team
Gifts: hospitality, encouragement, service
Responsibilities: use basic computer skills to help students, assist lab coordinator, have a passion for working with adults, be available for most scheduled Saturday mornings, 8:30 a.m. – 12:15 p.m., attend at least 1 training per year, encourage students, teachers and leadership.
Reports to: Lab coordinator and the ESL Director
Lead Teacher of Children
Gifts: teaching, administration, encouragement
Responsibilities: teach, plan and prepare lessons, follow established curriculum, have a heart for working with children, be available all or nearly all scheduled Saturday mornings, 8:30 a.m. – 12:15 p.m., attend on-going trainings (usually 1 each quarter), encourage and pray for students, assistants and leadership.
Reports to: ESL Kids Coordinator
Assistant Teacher of Children
Gifts: helps, encouragement, teaching
Responsibilities: assist the lead teacher as needed, possibly with teaching and/or planning, have a heart for working with children, be available for most scheduled Saturday mornings, 8:30 a.m. – 12:15 p.m., substitute when lead teacher is unavailable, attend on-going trainings (usually 1 each quarter), encourage and pray for students, teachers and leadership.
Reports to: ESL Kids Coordinator
Childcare Team
Gifts: helps, encouragement, and service
Responsibilities: provide basic childcare to children ages 0 to 35 months, have a heart for working with small children, be available for all or nearly all scheduled Saturday mornings, 8:30 a.m. – 12:15 p.m., attend annual orientation, encourage and pray for children and leadership.
Reports to: ESL Children’s Coordinator and Sunset Kids Club Leader
Lead Teacher of Adults
Gifts: teaching, administration, encouragement
Responsibilities: teach, plan and prepare lessons using established curriculum, have a passion for helping adults, be available all or nearly all scheduled Saturday mornings, 8:30 a.m. – 12:15 p.m., attend on-going trainings (1-2 each quarter), encourage and pray for students, assistants and leadership.
Reports to: ESL Director
