Website Users Policy
The following policy applies to all forms of electronic media and services provided by Sunset Presbyterian Church, including email lists, discussion boards, the website and other online services.
- Users must be 13 years old or older.
- Avoid giving out personal information (full name, email address, phone, mailing address, etc.). Many of the discussion boards are publicly available on the Internet and accessible by all people.
- Copyrighted material may not be posted unless the copyright is owned by the person posting the material or proper permission has been given and is on file with the Sunset's Communications Department.
- Sunset discussion boards are not for commercial use. Do not advertise businesses or items for sale except on a discussion board specfically labeled for that purpose.
- The messages posted on Sunset discussion boards are the views of individual users and may not represent the views and beliefs held by our church. Sunset Presbyterian Church is not responsible for the content of any post.
- Inappropriate comments or material of any kind are not allowed. This includes, but is not limited to profanity, slander, and defamatory comments. Any inappropriate postings will likely lead to your post being removed and your account being revoked.
- Users may not engage in or attempt to engage in:
- Monitoring or intercepting the files or electronic communications of others.
- Hacking or obtaining access to systems or accounts they are not authorized to use.
- Using other people's log-ins or passwords.
- Breaching, testing or monitoring computer or network security measures.
- Please report any inappropriate messages to the list owner and/or webmaster. We reserve the right to remove any post or ban any user at any time.
No policy can lay down rules to cover every possible situation. Instead, this policy is designed to express Sunset Presbyterian Church's philosophy and set forth general principles when using the website and electronic services. All users, by means of creating an account, agree to use these services in an ethical and lawful manner.
